Some parts of the human mind

just thirst for beauty.
Other parts thirst for truth
and for knowledge.

Other parts, again,
thirst for an active live,

so that some positive

traces will be left behind.

 Man schafft sich, potentiell, ein kleines Paradies.

Wir werden tagtäglich in uns mit etwas "Strebendem" konfrontiert.

Das ist die innere Erfahrung von "Seele".

Um uns herum lässt sich ebenfalls "Strebendes" beobachten.

Das ist die äußere, beobachtbare Seite von "Seele".

Ein streng gedachter "Atheismus" geht von einer Dingwelt aus.

D.h. wir sind von Dingen umgeben, die zueinander in Verhältnissen stehen,

die sich nach bestimmten Regeln verändern.

Ebenso geht ein streng atheistisches Selbstbild davon aus,

dass man "Selbst" ein Ding ist, dass sich nach bestimmten Regeln verändert.

Der Siegeszug der Naturwissenschaft und Technik; und also

die Ankunft des Menschen in einer Ding- und Sachwelt.

We are confronted within ourselves every day with something “striving.”

This is the inner experience of “soul.”

Around us, too, one can observe “striving.”

This is the outer, observable side of “soul.”

A rigorously conceived “atheism” assumes a world of things.

That is, we are surrounded by things which stand in relation to each other
and change according to certain rules.

In the same way, a rigorously atheistic self-image assumes
that the “self” is a thing that changes according to certain rules.

The triumph of science and technology; and thus
the arrival of human beings in a world of things and objects.
